HP Pavilion 17"

Consumer Reports just rated the HP Pavillion DV7-1245dx 17″ laptops one of their best buys for 2009.  This laptop features a 17″ screen, a Turion  X2 RM-72 processor, 4GB memory, built in wireless  and a  320 GB hard drive all in a very attractive package. Despite what you have seen in the Mac Vs PC commercials, Consumer Reports rated this laptop’s performance an overall Best Buy. Ergonics, versatility, ease of use were very similar to a much more expensive Macbook which costs $2000 more than this laptop.  Battery life was a little lower than the Macbook it weighs about 1 lb more.  But at $2000 cheaper, the HP being $800 and Macbook being $2800, I think these are 2 small sacrifices that can be made.
