Walmart is the best and quickest way to purchase a Straight Talk phone - everything you need is right there. You purchase your phone and your minutes right there and the whole activation process takes less than 20 minutes over the phone. Even uploading more minutes takes five minutes and you the cards at Walmart. Its the best $45 I have ever spent on a phone.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE STRAIGHT TALK. I have had no problems whatsoever. My Samsung Finesse phone is the greatest and its just unreal that I only spend 45 dollars a month! I used to spend over a hundred dollars and with times like these... any money saving IS fantastic. Straight Talk is wonderful all around. Great service, great function, great price, and great customer service! Couldn't say enough good things!

The only thing you can restrict are the calling capabilities, ie. lock it so that calls can't be made from it. I don't think you can restrict the stuff you want to restrict, at least no mention of that in the manual.

The phone should recognize the card on its own. You can easily tell if it's recognizing it by selecting your MP3 player. If it goes into the player, then it's recognizing it. What size card do you have? I believe the highest the 451 will support is 4gb. Other possibility is the card being upside down on the phone?

<a href="#comment-575" rel="nofollow">@Deloris </a>
Hi there, Since the 451 is not a full html browser phone, it does not support javascript. That being said, most major sites have mobile versions without javascript. Typically, you are automatically redirected to their mobile versions when accessing through mobile phones. I have been able to successfully access Twitter and Facebook on the 451. As for myspace, try m.myspace.com which i believe is the mobile version. For facebook try m.facebook.com and for twitter, try m.twitter.com. If you find others that you get the javascript error on, google the mobile version of the site to get the mobile address, you can then use that address on the 451

I am really glad that Tracfone came out with the Straight Talk plan. $45 a month for unlimited text and unlimited minutes is really a great deal. You can't beat it! As an out of state student, I am able to keep my costs down while enjoying long conversations with friends and family back at home. I will continue using this plan throughout my college career and hopefully after I graduate!

Usually yes, but they have a policy in place that minutes older than 6 mo. will not transfer. If you are a regular user and turn your minutes over regularly then it's no big deal. If you are an "emergency only" type user and have accumulated lots of minutes over the years then I suggest you keep your current phone.
