Net10 Samsung R355C

Net10 Samsung R355C

The Samsung R355C is Net10’s newest entry to their texting device line up. It will be joining the R451C and T401G to round out their reduced texting rate line up. Like previous Net10 Samsung texting models, the R355G features a full QWERTY keyboard for easy texting. Unlike the previous two texting models, however, the R355C will be of the non sliding variety resembling the ever popular Blackberry. Despite the non sliding design, the 355 is compact and light weight, measuring 4.42” x 2.4” x .50” and weighing just 3.6 ounces. In addition, the phone is quite rugged and built to Samsung’s quality standards.

Samsung 355 Protective Cases

If the phone looks familiar, it is because it’s essentially a Samsung SCHR-r351 (also known as the Samsung Freeform). Like the Freeform, the R355C comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, full MP3 player, expandable SD card slot with up to 16 gb capacity and bluetooth. Standard features include reduced texting rates, caller id, call forwarding, call waiting and voicemail. Read the full Net10 Samsung R355C Review.

All in all, the Net10 Samsung R355C is an excellent phone if you love to text, want a large screen and prefer the Blackberry like design over the sliders. Pricing should be similar to the 451 and 401 so you won’t have to break the bank to take advantage of Net10s excellent 10 cent per minute rates and reduced texting rates. Net10 Wireless Samsung T401g

Net10 Wireless Samsung T401g

It has been a long time coming but the Net10/Tracfone phone family finally has an MP3 player enabled with QWERTY keyboard handset for the mass GSM market. The new T401g is very similar to the CDMA R451C having all of the same quality features including 1.3 megapixel camera, onboard mp3 player, expandable microSD card slot supporting up to 16 gigs and QWERTY keyboard. In addition, the T401 adds video recording capabilities which the 451 does not have.  Click here for more information on the Net10 T401G

One of the surprising things about the T401G is it’s high quality feel. Unlike the lower end phone models, the T401 is quite solid. Everything on this phone is high quality. From the durable hard plastic numeric keypad to the soft touch QWERTY keys, the T401 has been built to last. While it is no iPhone, this isn’t your grandma’s prepaid phone either. Safe to say you no longer have to sacrifice features for the sake of savings with this model.

If you have been waiting for a phone with some nice features before jumping on the Net10 10 cent per minute savings but don’t live in a CDMA area, then the T401G will not disappoint with it’s solid keyboard and mp3 player functions. Find out if the T401G is available in your Area

Increase your TracFone Wireless Signal Strenght

December 4th, 2009 dwight No comments

Wireless Signal booster for home or office use.

If you are experiencing low signal or your battery is not lasting as much as it should, you are probably in a poor coverage area. Cellular coverage is based on cellular (GSM or CDMA) towers which carry a signal from a base stations around your area to your cell phone. This signal is nearly all around us at varying frequencies and strengths. While the signal is mostly harmless to humans and animals, your cell phone is very sensitive to it and operation including voice quality, dropped calls, battery performance, and other factors depend on this precious signal. When the signal is weak, you run into problems

When signal is low, you can tell by looking at your signal meter on your cell phone. Most phones will have about six bars of signal or more. If you are operating on three or less bars, your cell phone is not working at the potential it was designed for. You may notice longer download times, distorted communication, and dropped calls.

Most people who live in low signal areas will either not use the phone in that zone or in many cases, change the cellular provider (which in both cases can be a time consuming and inconvenience). There is a way to deal with low signal strengths and still use your cell phone the way it was meant to be used with a signal booster.

What is it?

There are many types of signal boosters including personal boosters for a single user, room boosters that will
address a room or bigger boosters that will take care of a full house. Think of the signal booster as an amplifier which repeats the existing signal and makes it stronger. Once your booster is plugged in, it does the rest by picking up all existing signal and making it stronger. Your cell phone will pick up the new signal and start operating the way it was meant to.

What are the benefits?

The benefits of a wireless signal booster are obvious and immediate.

Tracfone Unlimited Plan Straight Talk

Straight Talk Motorola

Straight Talk Motorola

Good news to all Tracfone fans! Tracfone has a new unlimited (well almost unlimited plan) plan that gives you 1000 minutes for get this…$30 bucks a month. The plan is being sold under a new name called Straight Talk. This is an awesome price considering the average cell phone customer uses 700 minutes yet pays over $70. So 1000 minutes for only 30 bucks is awesome. This may be even better than the Boost unlimited plan because it gives you some flexibility if your airtime needs vary from month to month. Click Here to view Available Phones

There are a few drawbacks though, first the phones will initially all be active through Verizon and use CDMA so if you do not have Verizon in your area, then no Straight Talk for you. Initially, the phones were only available at WalMart, but now they are available directly from Straight Talk, so you can be sure the program is available in your area. Initially, there will be 3 CDMA phones offered. Namely, the Motorola W385, Motorola Razr V3A and the LG 200.
